What were your goals when you were getting started?
I wanted to lose weight since I am on a weight lose journey. But importantly I wanted to learn, learn and push my body in ways I never thought I could. Ryan helped me learn what a squat, deadlift, curl, and use a bar!
What changes have you seen?
I've seen my biceps come in and the way my body can push itself. I am excited to see how I can push my body which I didn't learn without Ryan.
What are you most proud of?
Learning to be a jock! It sounds so shallow but as someone who didn't think he could ever be in a gym and feel confident in one, I am so proud of where I am and how far I've come.
What are/were your biggest challenges?
It was not losing weight "fast enough" but now I'm just happy to see my gains!!
What advice would you give to people just starting out?
You need to feel confident in making mistakes and looking embarrassing. Also finding a trainer that will create an environment that is safe and non-judgemental and that's exactly what Ryan did for me.
