Did you know that even though it might not feel like it, you have all the motivation you need to succeed?
I know it sounds crazy because we’re so used to hearing about ways to “boost motivation” and how to “crush it in the gym”, and while that is important, I’m going to share three secrets with you today that will completely reshape the way you approach your health and fitness goals.
I call this process, “discovering your inner athlete” and it’s the exact process I used to get my ass off the couch, find my passion, and get into the best shape of my life.
So what does it mean to discover your inner athlete?
All athletes have one thing in common, they want to excel. We all have that part of us, deep down inside, that wants to succeed and prove what we're capable of. This is your inner athlete.
Even if you've never picked up a barbell or played sports, we all have that part of us that wants to excel in fitness and in life. To fully tap into this part of ourselves we need to develop confidence, focus, and mental strength.
Discovering your inner athlete means you must train with purpose. You must understand what drives you to be better, where you want to go, and have an action plan of how to get there.
So I’m going to share with you three secrets about mental strength and how you can transform your mindset so you can accomplish anything.
And I know what you’re probably thinking: “I want to change but I just don’t have the motivation”
But again, I’m going to show you a great way you can transform your mindset so you can start taking action and get amazing results.
So the first secret is, you need to really understand who and where you are in your life.
The big idea here is, the more clarity we have around what makes us who we are, the easier it will be to understand where we want to go and the true PURPOSE behind the goals we set.
This is important because if we don’t take the time to understand why we’re working so hard for our goals, we’ll never have what it takes to stick with them when inevitably, things get hard.
The second secret is we need to have a really clear vision of where we want to go.
This might seem obvious, but the main thing to understand here is that this requires thinking beyond surface-level goals like attaining a specific physique but thinking deeper about the type of person we wish to become.
This is key because, in order to be successful, we need to develop the mindset, habits, and skills of that desired identity.
The third secret is you need to clearly identify what obstacles are preventing you from that desired identity.
The main thing to understand here is the difference between mountains and molehills. Sometimes the obstacles we perceive as being HUGE are actually self-limiting beliefs and things that can be easily solved by applying more focus and effort.
This is key because when we can understand what we’re willing to do to reach our goals and (possibly) more importantly what we’re NOT willing to do, it carves a clearer path to how we can get there.
Now, I know what you’re thinking.
This sounds like a lot of work and you’re busy and don’t really have time to take any of this on!
Well, the tricky thing is that you actually do have the time. It’s just that you have other things in your life that are taking priority. There’s nothing wrong with that! Just as long as you recognize the difference.
However, your hopes and dreams are just as important and when you start prioritizing your own growth, especially when it comes to your health, you're investing in your future self and that growth and success spread like wildfire into other areas of your life.
I know this to be true because it’s exactly what happened to me.
And so I’ve created the “Building and Inner Athlete Mindset Training Course - from Zero to Hero” so that you can learn the exact tools and frameworks I used to completely transform my mindset and get into the best shape of my life.
In my experience, the clients that fail to reach their goals are the ones who lack the right mindset. Many people are not willing to put in the hard work to figure out the real purpose behind their goals, so they quit when things get hard. They expect results to come easy and when they don’t they make excuses and look for the next quick fix.
However, without the right mindset, the action doesn’t happen! And so in this course, I’ll guide you through the process of developing the mindset you need to not only achieve your fitness goals but to also master new challenges outside of the gym.
I have been where you are and I know how hard it is to get started on a new journey. So I give you a step by step process to follow that will give you insight into what drives you to take action and the perspective you need to break through and find clarity towards goals that matter to you.
In each lesson, you’ll learn an important step towards identifying your starting point, your ideal goals and identity, your most significant obstacles, and how to create an action plan you can start that day.
Each self-paced lesson comes with a video explanation where I’ll teach you exactly how I used each of these tools in my own journey as well as my clients.
You’ll also get a downloadable worksheet for each lesson that will help you apply the concepts each lesson covers. You can use these worksheets for the course and long after the course is over for any goal-setting you need to do in the future!
